UFST (the Danish Agency for Development and Simplification) is in the process of building the tax administration of the future, and you will be responsible for the PMO function in the One Stop Moms 2 project. The One Stop Moms 2 (OSM2) project is one of the largest IT development efforts currently underway at the Danish Tax Agency (Skatteforvaltningen) and also carries high social relevance. The purpose of the OSM2 project is to support new EU VAT rules and thereby ease companies’ administrative burden when settling VAT on sales of goods and services to consumers, through voluntary registration in the scheme. The solution went live in 2021 with its first releases and will be expanded and further developed for several years to come, partly as a result of new EU requirements. The project is run in a partly agile way within an internal development setup of around 90 people spread across six teams. Development takes place in three domain teams and two platform teams, with releases every 14 days, supported by a DevOps team responsible for deployment. Each team works according to agile principles and uses SCRUM, while overall project governance follows the state’s project management model. You will drive the project’s PMO function, supported by a couple of project consultants, a Product Manager and systems architect, as well as an IT project manager.

As an experienced PMO, you will be a key person in the governance of a societally critical IT project, ensuring that decisions are made based on accurate and relevant material, with a focus on, among other things, the product, roadmaps, capacity, risks, and financial frameworks. You will also be part of a dynamic and ambitious cross-functional team. You will support project management with governance tasks so that development teams work in a structured way on the functional, technical, and operational scope and deliver quality according to plans and budget.

As PMO Lead, you will have significant responsibility and varied tasks, and you will have influence over your own work.

Requirements
It is an advantage if the candidate has a relevant educational background in economics or political science, for example from DTU, ITU, KU, or equivalent relevant professional experience.

You are expected to have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position within a larger unit in the public or private sector. In addition, the candidate must have at least:

• Experience preparing decision papers and supporting management
• Experience from large IT projects in a large organization
• Business understanding of IT projects/programs in larger organizations
• Experience with project management
• A natural flair for stakeholder engagement and good processes
• Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
• Good at handling multiple tasks simultaneously
• Financial understanding

It is an advantage, but not a requirement, if the candidate has experience with the following:

• Knowledge of SAFe, SCRUM, and the agile approach
• Experience with public administration and secretariat support in a politically driven organization
