The Job
The current team leader in the Iron Carbohydrate production has been with Pharmacosmos for over 40 years and is now ready to pass the baton. Pharmacosmos is looking for a skilled process technologist who is eager to learn from Mogens, the experienced team leader, and be prepared for the role.
You will start by learning all the processes in the department by working closely with the operators. You will engage in problem-solving and collaborate with chemists, QA, QC, and the technical department. Gradually, you will take on more responsibility, including administrative tasks such as coordinating with other departments, production planning, and personnel management.
In production, Pharmacosmos works with chemical synthesis, filtration, ultrafiltration, and spray drying. Pharmacosmos performs in-process measurements such as turbidity and pH measurements. Some in-process measurements are performed by the QC laboratory, but you are expected to be able to interpret these analysis results.
You will be part of a team of 10 colleagues working across three shifts. As a team leader, you will primarily work during the daytime.
Your primary tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Participating in problem-solving and liaising with chemists, QA, QC, and the technical department.
- Leading and motivating a team of operators and technicians to ensure high productivity and quality.
- Coordinating production processes, including planning, execution, and optimization of production activities.
- Working with chemical synthesis, filtration, ultrafiltration, and spray drying.
- Performing and interpreting in-process measurements, such as turbidity and pH measurements.
- Managing safety work if you have an interest in this area.
Who are you?
- Educated as a dairy technician, process technologist, chemical technician, or similar.
- Several years of experience with various types of production equipment.
- Experience with ultrafiltration and spray drying is an advantage.
- Your experience/knowledge of the above likely comes from the pharma industry.
- You are used to working with GMP and have a flair for IT and planning.
- Experience as a team leader is an advantage.
