Frederiksberg Municipality / Full time

Team Coordinator in the Climate and Environment Unit in Roads, Parks, and Environment

Do you have experience with regulatory tasks in the soil and groundwater area and are eager to coordinate a team? Then Frederiksberg Municipality might have the position for you. Frederiksberg Municipality is looking for an experienced team coordinator for the Climate and Environment Unit. You will play a central role in soil and groundwater protection, ensuring effective task management and high team morale.

About the position

As the new team coordinator, you will have a unique opportunity to manage both specialist tasks and the coordination of a team of seven full-time employees and one student with expertise in various regulatory areas (soil/groundwater, environmental complaints, business inspections, pest control, etc.). Alongside your colleagues, you will be a key figure in preparing permits in accordance with the Soil Contamination Act, the Environmental Protection Act, and the Water Supply Act. Additionally, you will work on soil investigations, wastewater permits, and contribute to projects related to groundwater protection efforts. Supervising drinking water and wastewater, as well as providing technical input to the municipality’s climate adaptation efforts, will also be part of your responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Work on projects and regulatory tasks related to groundwater protection, including supervision of drinking water and wastewater.
  • Ensure oversight and coordination of the team’s specialist tasks and projects, including developing processes to maintain a smooth workflow.
  • Motivate and coordinate the team, focusing on well-being, job satisfaction, and shared goals.
  • Allocate and initiate specific tasks and follow up on financial management.
  • Ensure the development of a project for early regulatory involvement across the organization.
  • Provide support to team members on solving tasks and projects.
  • Coordinate political proposals, communication points, and draft responses.
  • Contribute to the continuous development of the team’s tasks with new knowledge, legislation, and policies.

Frederiksberg Municipality envisions that you have:

  • A relevant academic background, such as engineering, environmental planning, or similar.
  • Experience working in soil contamination and groundwater protection.
  • Experience with regulatory tasks, preferably broad, but especially within the soil and groundwater area.
  • Strong communication skills at the political level and with stakeholders.
  • Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team.

You are motivated by coordinating a team, and your efforts help ensure high morale and job satisfaction. This means you function as both a motivator and a catalyst, ensuring a strong focus on common goals.

Frederiksberg Municipality offers

An exciting and diverse position where you will have the opportunity to work on both specialist tasks and team coordination, and where you can leave your mark on the work. You will be a central figure in an engaged team where professionalism and a positive work culture are highly valued. Together with your closest colleagues, you will form the core of Frederiksberg Municipality’s efforts in soil and groundwater. Additionally, you will work closely with dedicated colleagues and have extensive contact with many different partners both inside and outside the organization.

You will be part of a community with other team coordinators in the unit, working on strategic development across the entire unit, including cohesion, organization, and shared core tasks.
