Software Engineer

Qtechnology is looking for a Software Engineer to join the Application Development Team and contribute to the development of next-generation hyperspectral camera technology used in industrial and research applications.

The role is suited for a software engineer who enjoys working close to the product and collaborating across disciplines such as firmware, hardware, and production.

About the position

As a Software Engineer at Qtechnology, you will work with development of software libraries, SDKs, and applications used both internally and in customer-facing solutions. The role combines advanced data processing with practical tools supporting production, calibration, testing, and quality assurance.

The position offers a high degree of responsibility and flexibility in a fast-moving, technology-driven environment.

About the team

You will join the Application Development Team, working with Qtechnology’s hyperspectral product line. The team consists of application and firmware engineers and collaborates closely with hardware, mechanical, and production teams.

The working environment is informal, collaborative, and focused on delivering high-quality technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop software libraries and SDKs for computer vision and hyperspectral imaging
• Develop applications and graphical user interfaces for data analysis and customer solutions
• Contribute to proof-of-concept solutions based on customer requirements
• Collaborate closely with firmware, hardware, mechanical, and production teams
• Participate in planning, discussions, and continuous improvement of development processes

Your profile

It is expected that you have:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• At least 2 years of experience as a Software Engineer
• Experience with GUI development, preferably using Qt or similar frameworks
• Experience developing libraries or SDKs
• Proficiency in Python and C or C++
• Experience working in Linux environments and with Git
• Knowledge of computer vision and machine learning
• Experience with Rust, industrial cameras, or hyperspectral imaging is considered an advantage.
