Section Manager for Pumping Stations and Overflows

We are now seeking a Section Manager for Project 5 (Pumping Stations and Overflows) who will lead a strong project team and help develop the sustainable utility solutions of the future.
A role with responsibility, expertise, and progress
As Section Manager for Project 5, you will be responsible for a team of 12 dedicated specialists and project managers. Together, you will develop solutions ranging from the renovation and renewal of 1,300 pumping stations to the implementation of new SCADA systems and the integration of asset management.
You will ensure progress, direction, and effective resource allocation, making sure projects are successfully transitioned into operations. At the same time, you will play an important role in the management team, contributing to culture, well-being, and strategic development across the organization.
In close collaboration with fellow managers, you will also help prepare and report on investment agreements to our nine owner municipalities.

Your responsibilities
As Section Manager, you will be the driving force behind the team’s success. Your responsibilities will include:

Leading and developing your team and strengthening cross-functional collaboration

Managing the project portfolio with a focus on time, budget, and quality

Acting as a professional sparring partner for both experienced and junior employees

Contributing to tender processes, investment agreements, and collaboration with consultants and contractors

Ensuring strong collaboration across the organization, including with operations as well as electrical and SCADA teams
Your background
We expect you to have a technical education, such as an engineering degree or a marine engineering qualification, along with several years of management experience—preferably as a Project Director or Team Manager. You have experience with project portfolio management, resource planning, and budget responsibility.
Experience with construction and utility projects—particularly pumping stations and overflow structures—is a strong advantage. Familiarity with procurement processes and collaboration with consultants and contractors will further strengthen your profile.
