Project Manager for Water Resource Center Roskilde Fjord

Novafos / Full time

At Novafos, we have ambitions to be a sustainable utility company, and we aim to be at the forefront when it comes to developing innovative, green, and sustainable solutions that make a difference in our daily lives and environment.
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated project manager who will be one of two project managers working together to realize Novafos’ vision of establishing a new, efficient purification structure. This structure involves the establishment of two new central modern purification plants – water resource centers – replacing 17 of the current 18 purification plants. You will be responsible for the western purification plant (Roskilde Fjord), while the other project manager will be responsible for the eastern purification plant (Øresund).

Sustainable wastewater treatment

The purpose of the project “Water Resource Center Roskilde Fjord” is to establish a common purification structure in the Roskilde Fjord catchment area. The municipalities and Novafos aim to establish a Water Resource Center, which will replace nine existing purification plants and in the future treat wastewater from citizens and businesses in Frederikssund, Egedal, Ballerup, and parts of Furesø and Herlev Municipality. The modern and energy-producing water resource center aims to ensure the sustainable utilization of the resources in wastewater and prepare the municipalities for future stricter requirements for purification and green transition. Your new job as a project manager

As a project manager with us, you will be responsible for leading the project “Water Resource Center Roskilde Fjord,” which is currently in an early phase and is expected to enter the design phase with consultant procurement in early 2025. You will ensure progress in both design and environmental impact assessment activities through visible and collaborative project leadership.
There is extensive collaboration between the two project managers (Roskilde Fjord and Øresund), and the project organization is shared. The projects are anchored in Team Plan Purification, and project management is carried out in close collaboration with the Team Leader for Plan Purification and the Wastewater Director.
Team Plan Purification is one of six teams in the Plan Purification & Drainage department, which currently has 80 employees. We are seven colleagues in the team who value a good working atmosphere with an informal tone, close and trusting collaboration, professional sparring, and engagement. In addition to implementing the new purification structure, the team also works to ensure the stable operation of our current 18 purification plants and to reduce environmental impact through optimization and control projects until the two water resource centers are operational.
