Project manager

Frederiksberg Municipality has purchased Frederiksberg Hospital, and from 2027, the urban development of the area will commence. In December 2023, a development plan for the area was adopted, setting a clear direction for transforming the hospital into an entirely new urban district. The next phase of the project is to realize the development plan, including creating a plan for new utility infrastructure and all the spaces “between the houses” – public areas, roads, green spaces, etc.

About the position as Project Manager

As the project manager for the urban development project of Frederiksberg Hospital, you will be responsible for planning and executing future construction projects at the hospital. You will have the opportunity to shape the project and turn visions into concrete realities. With great freedom in organizing your tasks, you will be responsible for the technical and construction aspects of the development project.

About the department

As a project manager for the urban development of Frederiksberg Hospital, you will become part of the unit that realizes the visions for the area’s development. Within the Department of City, Construction, and Real Estate, you will be an integral part of a dynamic and project-oriented unit focused on urban development. Their unit consists of specialists in architecture, urban planning, and land surveying. They collaborate closely with the city architect to ensure that their projects align with the municipality’s visions and goals.

Responsibilities

• Planning of construction preparation and drafting technical requirements for potential developers.
• Development of a plan for new utility networks at Frederiksberg Hospital in collaboration with the utility company Frederiksberg Forsyning.
• Participation in the preparation of design manuals for roads, green areas, and public spaces, as well as implementing these in specific construction projects.
• Initiation of other construction-related activities such as planning construction site logistics and soil management strategies.

Qualifications

• Relevant education in engineering, architecture, or equivalent.
• Experience in project management within urban development or construction projects.
• Good understanding of technical and construction aspects of urban development.
• Ability to work independently and in teams, as well as to adapt to changing requirements.
