Project Director
Danske Shoppingcentre (DSC) is the leading player in the shopping center industry in Denmark. With an impressive portfolio of some of the country’s largest and most strategically located centers, DSC covers a total area of approximately 850,000 square meters and comprises over 1,100 retail leases. The Department
The department consists of key individuals such as the Chief Development Officer (CDO), Product Development Manager, and Head of Design. The department’s focus is to enhance project potential and develop products and design elements in the projects. Projects are driven forward in close collaboration, and as a Project Director, you will become an integral part of the team. There will also be close cooperation with internal and external stakeholders, including center managers, the finance department, and building consultants.
The Position of Project Director
As a Project Director for DSC, you will have a unique opportunity to lead a prestigious project involving the total renovation and conversion of the high-rise building at Lyngby Storcenter into a modern and energy-efficient hotel. The project includes not only approximately 200 state-of-the-art hotel rooms but also a rooftop bar, a large roof terrace, and new restaurant concepts. You will be a key player in realizing the municipality’s vision of a vibrant and experience-rich center that benefits both residents and businesses.
Your primary responsibilities as a Project Director include:
- Overall management and leadership of the project in the client role, in collaboration with the Client Advisor
- Responsibility for contract negotiation and management of contractors and consultants
- Close monitoring of budgets and schedules
- Collaboration with tenants to ensure integration with the center’s daily activities
- Management of external consultants in collaboration with the Client Advisor
- Risk management, stakeholder management, and conflict resolution
- Preparation of ongoing project reports with status on finances and risk assessment
- Implementation of ESG goals (Environmental, Social, and Governance)
- Ensuring ongoing value engineering
Qualifications as a Project Director
DSC is looking for a candidate with strong competencies in project and process management, budget control, stakeholder management, and commercial understanding. A holistic approach and significant experience in the field are crucial to tackling the challenges of a dynamic environment. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to actively participate in the development and design of the project’s rooftop terrace, which will be a unique contribution to the local area.
