About the department
You will be a part of an inspiring community in R&ED IT with +2,000 skilled and committed IT professionals who are responsible for all major IT projects, IT systems and infrastructure at the company.
The position as IT Project Manager will be a part of the department that runs IT programs, projects and agile teams in R&ED IT. The department has highly skilled and dedicated project managers who support the Research IT strategies by driving key IT initiatives. The department enjoys empowerment and autonomy and believe that it is the people’s differences, knowledge and experience that creates the joint strengths of the team.
About the position
As IT Project Manager your project will be among the most strategically important in the company and will have top priority and support from Senior Management. This requires high level of stakeholder management at all organizational levels in the company. Consequently, a job as IT Project Manager offers you the opportunity to manage the whole project lifecycle and currently, they are embarking on the journey to adapt and work according to the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
You will be working on projects within the Research IT portfolio depending on the fit between your profile and the business needs. You could ensure faster capture of laboratory research data or providing new analytical capabilities on these data. Depending on the size of your project, you will have project management responsibility for up to 25 colleagues and maintain a budget up to 100 million DKK.
Apart from working on your specific project or product you will also be involved frequently in pre-project discussions and consulting with the business in an architect/SME capacity, giving you the opportunity to shape the digital research initiatives, strategies, and roadmaps.
You possess strong people management skills and have a natural ability to engage your stakeholders. You are familiar with the agile mindset and have a structured way of working. Furthermore, you are driven by a curiosity about people, organization, technology and science. Lastly, you are ambitious about your projects and interested in growing your skills as well as expertise to lead the way.
It is required of you to have:
- Experience with large IT projects and IT project management in large organizations or preferably within the pharma industry.
- A proven track record of delivering business value, scope, schedule and cost.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- As a minimum a Bachelor’s Degree is in computer science, engineering, chemistry, biology or another relevant field.

- Flexible, proactive, and good at taking the initiative.
