Danske Shoppingcentre (DSC) is building the physical and digital marketplace of the future. In our strategy towards 2029, digitalization, retail media, and AI are core pillars. Our ambition is to increase footfall, strengthen tenant attractiveness, and develop new commercial digital products.
As Head of Digital Platforms & AI, you will play a pivotal role in translating this strategy into concrete platforms, products, and AI capabilities.
You will be responsible for defining and executing roadmaps for DSC’s platforms and AI initiatives: a coherent digital customer platform, a robust technical foundation for retail media, and the establishment of an AI ecosystem (AI Studio / agent platform) that accelerates product innovation and optimization.
About the role
You will define and execute roadmaps for DSC’s digital platforms and AI initiatives, ensuring a coherent and scalable digital platform landscape. This includes building the technical foundation for retail media as well as establishing a robust AI ecosystem (AI Studio, agent platform, RAG/knowledge bases) that accelerates product innovation and optimization. In this context, you will also operationalize AI projects and drive AI adoption across the organization.
You will own the product and technology strategy for Digital Platforms & AI. In addition to driving roadmaps, you will be responsible for this part of the overall architecture and act as a valuable partner within the broader enterprise architecture. You will deliver a scalable retail media platform (advertising/inventory) and ensure the technical foundation for the sales and delivery of digital advertising products. At the same time, you will build the foundation for the loyalty program and the overall tenant experience in close collaboration with Commercial and Marketing.
While you may not be hands-on in executing the individual roadmaps and projects, you hold full accountability for execution and outcomes (in close collaboration with Product Owners). You will maintain a strong pulse on delivery and, most importantly, apply your technical expertise to assess the quality of both solutions and underlying architecture, as well as to challenge suppliers on technical decisions and vendor performance.

Your responsibilities
As Head of Digital Platforms & AI at DSC, your responsibilities will include:

Leading a highly skilled team of four (two Product Owners, one AI Manager, and one AI Specialist)

Owning the product and technology strategy for Digital Platforms & AI and driving roadmap execution, architecture, and ways of working

Continuing the development of the foundation for the loyalty program and the overall tenant experience in close collaboration with the business

Establishing and driving AI capabilities (AI Studio, agent platforms, RAG/knowledge bases) and operationalizing AI projects and adoption across the organization

Managing vendors, including the ability to technically challenge suppliers and make decisions regarding core architecture

Owning the development budget across multiple value areas

Working closely with the Performance & Retail Media team, as well as retail media sales and marketing, while supporting the broader organization with digital solutions
Your profile
To succeed in the role as Head of Digital Platforms & AI, you are expected to have:

Experience leading cross-functional teams of varying sizes, including recruitment of key competencies and close collaboration with business stakeholders

A strong technical background, enabling you to challenge suppliers and make informed decisions on core architecture

Proven experience building and running product- and platform-oriented organizations with a product-driven way of working

A commercial mindset, ideally with experience in digital commercial products such as retail media, ad tech, or marketplace platforms
It is considered a strong advantage if you have experience with:

AI/ML solutions in production (RAG, agent platforms, MLOps, evaluation/observability)

Platforms such as Dynamicweb, Dynamics 365 / CRM, Emplate, Agillic, or similar CMS and marketing technology stacks
