The position is anchored in the department Hybrid Cloud Engineering in DD&IT, where we enable and support the Digital Transformation of our global research organization by offering modern hybrid cloud technology platforms through Agile ways of working.

On the daily front, you will be a part of the Tech Ops team who is responsible for developing, operating and maintaining cloud infrastructure. The team consists of 10 highly competent colleagues within cloud engineering, system management and oracle database administration and we take pride in supporting researchers and scientists with the best technology offerings.

Our scientific users are situated globally, and you will therefore be working in an international environment with colleagues around the globe.

What you will be doing

As a Cloud Engineer, you will help us continue our cloud journey, by building end-to-end digital solutions leveraging cloud capabilities and automated CI/CD pipelines. You will also be responsible for defining, building, operating and maintaining these technology solutions. In this role, you will have a significant impact in the way we operate, as we expect you to help in defining and driving Best Practices across the organization.

The skills we hope to see

  • A bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or another relevant field.
  • 3 years of work experience in either cloud, software development or IT Infrastructure
  • Strong technical skills in IT Infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, scripting and automation
  • Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure
  • AWS Technology Stack
  • Infrastructure as code

You might even know some or all of the below-listed technologies:

  • Serverless Computing, Network, Security and Storage solutions
  • Python, Powershell, Bash and Typescript
  • Authentication and API management tools
