About DCAI

DCAI is a newly established company, with a mission to accelerate AI research and innovation in Denmark. DCAI will operate Gefion, a state-of-the-art supercomputer designed to tackle large-scale AI projects across various fields, from healthcare and life sciences to the green transition and quantum computing. They are based in Copenhagen and collaborate closely with experts from both the public and private sectors, including partnerships with NVIDIA, to advance Denmark’s position in AI and advanced computing.

The job

DCAI is looking for a motivated Business Developer who thrives in a fast-paced, start-up environment and who can navigate the complexities of the AI landscape to create impactful business strategies.

As a Business Developer at DCAI, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the growth and success of the company and play a critical role in building the business development function from the ground up. Your work will involve identifying new business opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and driving the adoption of AI technologies across various sectors, including healthcare, life sciences, the green transition, and beyond.

Requirements

  • Develop and execute a business development strategy. Create and implement a comprehensive plan to identify, target, and engage potential clients in alignment with company goals.
  • Identify and define the market, strategy, and customer segments, and create go-to-market motions for each segment. In addition, you will be responsible for conducting market research to identify and pursue new business opportunities, including potential clients, industries, and partnerships that align with their business objectives.
  • Drive revenue growth by achieving sales targets, acquiring new customers, and expanding existing accounts. Additionally, track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of business development efforts and adjust strategies as needed
  • Develop and Maintain Relationships: Build and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers in target organizations to understand their needs and offer tailored solutions. Ability to identify and work with academic, government and commercial customers.
  • Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer success teams to develop compelling value propositions and ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Create and Deliver Presentations: Prepare and present proposals, pitches, and business cases to prospective clients and stakeholders.
  • Negotiate Contracts: Lead negotiations, close deals, and manage contracts to ensure favorable terms and conditions for the company.
  • Represent the Company at Industry Events: Attend and represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and networking events to build brand awareness and generate leads.
  • Contribute to the development of new revenue model and help define pricing based on customer segments in collaboration with finance.

To be successful in this role, they imagine that you have:

  • 7 years of experience in business development, sales, or related role, preferably in a start-up or high growth environment.
  • Track Record of Success: Demonstrated ability to build a pipeline from scratch and successfully close deals that drive significant revenue growth.
  • CRM management experience. Direct and through others and including management of external collaborations and portfolio responsibility.
  • Strong Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of AI and advanced computing markets and the ability to quickly learn about new industries and markets.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present and negotiate effectively.
  • Relationship Builder: Strong interpersonal skills and a natural ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and develop a sales plan that aligns with company goals.
  • An extended network within relevant fields, including industry and technical communities
