About the Department

As a BI consultant, you will be part of the Data & Analytics team (D&A) in the IT organization. The IT organization consists of over 40 internal employees and several external consultants. The D&A team consists of four people with the following responsibilities:

• Solution Architect: Responsible for the data warehouse and business models.
• Power BI Consultant: Responsible for the front-end.
• Integration Consultant: Responsible for the integration platform.
• Data Consultant: Responsible for data quality and master data governance.

About the Position

As a BI consultant at Kemp & Lauritzen, you will play a central role in creating coherence and quality in the entire data flow. You will be an important part of the work to ensure that data moves correctly and efficiently through the entire architecture – from the initial data sources to the end users’ reports. You will work with both structured data in SQL and large amounts of streaming data in solutions such as Azure Data Lake and Azure Data Explorer (ADX). At the same time, you will be an important sparring partner across development, operations, and business – and you will actively contribute to ensuring that our data solutions are robust, innovative, and ready for the future.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data models and pipelines in Microsoft Azure environments with technologies such as Azure Data Explorer (ADX), Event Hubs, and Microsoft Fabric.
• Data modeling that supports the entire data journey – from raw data source to reporting and visualization.
• Operate and support existing data solutions – including identifying and handling errors, analyzing causes, and ensuring data quality all the way from report to source.
• Navigate backwards in the data chain (lineage) in case of errors – from Power BI report, to data model, to transformations, staging, and finally to the original data source.

Requirements

• Education: BSc or MSc in a relevant field, e.g., computer science, economics, and IT.
• Experience with data modeling, where you have worked with the entire data journey – from raw data source to reporting and visualization.
• Experience working with Microsoft Power BI and SQL to work with and analyze the data foundation.
• Experience with lakehouse architecture.
• It is an advantage if you have knowledge of Azure Data Explorer (ADX) and Event Hubs: Knowledge of ingestion of streaming data.
• Language: Danish and English
