Strong profiles for cybersecurity and compliance

Are you passionate about IT security and digital transformation? Do you want to be part of a new major security initiative aimed at enhancing cyber and information security at the Danish Courts? Do you have skills in technical IT security and/or compliance? Then you might be the next colleague at the Danish Courts’ Administration Center for IT.

The Danish Courts’ Administration is actively working on digitising case processing at the courts, aiming for IT professionalisation and full digital support of case handling. This, combined with the current threat landscape, creates an increased need to ensure the confidentiality and availability of case data.

The Danish Courts’ Administration has therefore initiated a major effort to implement new and enhanced security requirements and to counter threats and the risk of attacks against the courts’ IT systems, and needs new colleagues for this.

The Danish Courts’ Administration is looking for new colleagues with skills in either technical IT security and/or security architecture and compliance.

You will be employed in the Danish Courts’ Administration Center for IT, which consists of approximately 120 employees spread across nine units. You will be part of the Infrastructure and Security unit, which aims to ensure stable and secure IT operations for the courts’ users. The unit has about 20 employees. The Danish Courts’ Administration uses both Microsoft and Linux technologies for infrastructure and applications, both on-premises and in Azure.

Technical IT security

The Danish Courts’ Administration is looking for several technical IT security specialists with blue team and/or red team competencies. Your primary task will be either to identify vulnerabilities or to prevent these vulnerabilities from being exploited. The Danish Courts’ Administration currently has a range of systems to identify and prevent the exploitation of vulnerabilities and has a multi-year plan to further increase protection with both technical solutions and organisational measures.

Red team tasks include

• Security testing of IT infrastructure and professional systems, including recommendations for improvement, e.g. using zero trust principles
• Identifying where data is placed, how it is exchanged, and whether logging is compliant with requirements
• Developing, maintaining, and implementing IT security standards

Blue team tasks include

• Incident response
• Monitoring of SIEM, XDR/EDRpro, and other security solutions, including remediation of identified vulnerabilities
• Security assessment of software and change requests to IT infrastructure and professional systems
• Technology responsibility for the security solutions in operation

Who are you?

The Danish Courts’ Administration is looking for both recent graduates and experienced candidates, as the position can be tailored to your experiences and qualifications.

For a position in technical IT security, a technical background and a strong interest and knowledge in IT security are valued. A few years of experience in IT security, as well as a good understanding of the technologies used (Microsoft, .NET, Java, Azure, and Kubernetes), would be a great advantage. A relevant educational background, such as computer science, cand.it, engineering, or similar, is expected, and a technical IT security certification such as AZ-500, OSCP, CKS, or eWPTXv2 would be a plus.

For a position in compliance, experience with GRC and IT security consulting is valued, along with a relevant education and a good IT technical understanding. Experience with technical IT security and an IT security certification, e.g. CISSP, CISM, or CISA, would be beneficial, as would familiarity with security assessment and standards in large public development programmes.

Salary and employment terms

It is a prerequisite for employment that you can be security cleared to “Secret” and maintain your security clearance throughout your employment.

The Danish Courts’ Administration is located at both Gammel Mønt in Copenhagen K and Amagerfælledvej in Copenhagen S. In the technical IT security positions, the workplace will be at Amagerfælledvej.
