Senior Market Director, Power Transmission

The Job
You will become part of the newly established taskforce within wind, electricity, and green fuels. We expect you to take ownership of the new strategy and play an important role in leading and executing it. The overall goal of the position is to become a dynamic driving force in developing a go-to-market strategy for power transmission and subsequently implementing it. As Senior Market Director, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating NIRAS’ efforts and activities within specific projects, customers, and sales, as well as implementing these broadly through collaboration across various business units. In addition, you will focus on growing NIRAS’ power grid business.
You will also
- Identify and secure contracts with transmission grid customers to establish and significantly expand NIRAS’ power grid business. Develop and leverage the interconnected synergies between related strategic initiatives such as electrification of the manufacturing industry, green fuel production, and offshore wind
- Build and maintain customer relationships to deliver a sustainable pipeline of new project opportunities
- Build and nurture relationships with partners — including contacts within research and development communities
- Share knowledge and skills to help further develop your colleagues’ abilities and competencies
- Assist with capacity building and strategic recruitment within the field
We are looking for
For this position, you should have around 10+ years of experience as a senior business profile within power transmission, and experience developing and executing go-to-market strategies.
You probably have
- An engineering degree (MSc or BEng) or another relevant technical education
- Extensive experience with customer relationships and an existing network within the electricity sector
- Deep sector insight, which you use to lead tenders and projects and to support colleagues with expert knowledge
- Management experience within various areas of the electricity sector
- A track record of success in cross-disciplinary project management, ideally related to the power transmission grid
- An entrepreneurial profile with strong skills in business development and building new ventures
- Strong strategic skills
- Strong communication skills across all levels of stakeholders
- The ability to inspire cross-functional teams, tell stories, and present to a broad audience
