The Job
You will become part of the newly established taskforce within wind, electricity, and green fuels. They expect you to take ownership of the new strategy and play an important role in leading and executing it. The overall goal of the position is to develop and deliver their strategy for the green energy transition in the manufacturing industry, with a focus on industries with high biomass levels in their production cycle and opportunities to utilize biomass as a renewable energy source.

As Senior Head of Expertise, you will build strong key customer relationships within the manufacturing industry and grow the size of NIRAS’ food and biotech business.

You will also

• Identify and secure contracts with manufacturing industry customers to establish and significantly expand NIRAS’ business
• Build and maintain customer relationships to deliver a sustainable pipeline of new project opportunities
• Build and nurture relationships with partners — including contacts within research and development communities
• Share knowledge and skills to help further develop your colleagues’ abilities and competencies
• Assist with capacity building and strategic recruitment within the field

We are looking for

For this position, you should have around 10+ years of experience as a senior business profile with expertise within biomass, and experience developing and executing go-to-market strategies.

You probably have

• An engineering degree (MSc or BEng) or another relevant technical education
• Extensive experience with customer relationships and an existing network within the fuel sector
• Deep insight into the biomass and biotech sector, which you use to lead projects and support colleagues with expert knowledge
• A track record of success in cross-disciplinary project management, ideally in connection with food and biomass
• Strong communication skills across all levels of stakeholders
• The ability to inspire cross-functional teams, tell stories, and present to a broad audience
