Department within Software Development

The Software Development (SW) department is a crucial part of UNEEG Medical’s organisation, working on the development of Class III medical devices. The department is located under R&D and consists of a total of 60 dedicated employees. Software is set to become a more significant part of UNEEG’s products in the future, and the company is looking for someone who can help drive this process. The SW team currently consists of 10 employees, with additional recruitments underway to grow the team. The current SW department includes architects, developers, and testers. This innovative team’s main task is to develop and test application software (App SW) and cloud-based solutions. The team delivered two major releases in 2023 as part of the launch of a new product and is well-prepared for the new projects that have started.

Responsibilities in the Senior Director role

As Senior Director, Software Development, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of neurotechnology. With the appointment of the Senior Director SW position, UNEEG plans to bring in more resources from other areas into the SW department, creating the foundation for an even stronger team and opening up new opportunities for innovation and development. The plan is to grow the team to approximately 20-25 skilled employees, including a mix of experienced experts and young talents. The SW department will thus be a central part of the company’s mission to improve the quality of life for patients and healthcare professionals by delivering innovative and reliable medical solutions.

UNEEG Medical is looking for an outgoing, collaborative, results-oriented, and energetic person who can inspire and motivate the SW team to achieve excellent results. You will function as the operational leader of deep specialists and contribute to UNEEG’s digital innovation journey. Expected experience includes:

• Broad expertise: extensive experience in various software technologies and platforms, including app software, PC applications, tablet applications, cloud technologies, and data management, with a strong understanding of agile development methods, project execution, and team leadership
• Background in medical devices: experience from the medical device industry, giving a deeper understanding of the specific challenges and requirements UNEEG Medical faces
• Leadership: a minimum of 2-3 years of leadership experience and an interest in leading a team as the department is expected to grow in the coming years
• Grounded in project environments: experience working in project environments, able to efficiently manage resources and schedules across project cycles

As Senior Director, SW at UNEEG Medical, your responsibilities will include leading the software development team, ensuring agile development practices, and managing priorities in relation to the project portfolio and product maintenance. You will be key in integrating the latest software technology into the medical devices and promoting digital health and innovation.
