Project Manager for Pumping Stations
As a project manager working primarily on pumping station projects, you get a unique opportunity to become part of Denmark’s second-largest utility.
You will also become part of one of the largest project departments within the utility sector, which over the coming years will continue to deliver in the order of 1,400 larger and smaller projects — projects that will have both direct and indirect significance for many customers and stakeholders in the relevant owner municipalities.
Novafos has a total of 1,300 pumping stations, and as project manager you will have an exciting opportunity to lead your own projects together with your project team. Your strong overview means you can own the project from the point where the proposed solution is defined through to completion and handover. You thrive on being responsible for the process from tendering, contracting and procurement, as well as leading construction management and supervision.
You are motivated by driving projects with a strong focus on sustainable solutions, both when it comes to renovating and renewing pumping stations, where renewal also means the pumping stations are connected to a new control (SRO) system and automatically implemented in the asset management system.
You will also experience that your work with pumping stations is a vital part of the infrastructure that ensures the individual consumer experiences operational reliability day and night. You are therefore also motivated to solve your projects through cross-disciplinary collaboration internally at Novafos and externally with selected partners such as suppliers, contractors and consultants.
The department
Day to day, you will become part of a team of 15 colleagues who work on a wide range of tasks within drainage systems, pumping stations, treatment plants and basins.
Your good collaboration with operations is also important once you have completed a pumping station project, since they will be responsible for the further operation of the pumping stations. It is therefore important that you enjoy and are interested in building relationships with the operations staff to ensure the best possible support and interaction.
Experience
You already have experience as a project manager, or you want to continue developing as one. You ideally have good knowledge of the utility sector, particularly with competencies built up within pumping stations. You thrive on projects that can be extensive, but also work well with a mix of large and small projects.
Thanks to your expertise, you are used to working very independently on your projects. You naturally ensure the right progress on your projects and take responsibility for projects being carried out according to agreed guidelines for budget, time and quality.
You describe your own working style as structured and focused. You are flexible and adaptable. You have a good overview and keep track of the right details in your projects. You thrive on collaboration spanning colleagues in Project 1, Project 2 and Project 3 as well as across the organisation and externally, whether with citizens, authorities, consultants or contractors.
