As a Planner within climate adaptation and wastewater, you get a unique opportunity to become part of Denmark’s second-largest utility.

In this role, you will take responsibility for one of Novafos’ owner municipalities, Ballerup Municipality, and become its primary point of contact. You will act as the link between Novafos and the municipality on concrete planning tasks. The tasks are many and varied, ranging from separate sewer systems to urban development projects as well as more administrative tasks.

You will become an important sparring partner in the collaboration between the municipality and Novafos. You will assist the municipality in preparing plans and turning them into concrete projects. You will be the one who, for example, keeps an overview of the process from wastewater plan to separate sewer systems.

You therefore have a talent for building good relationships and making collaboration work. You understand how to show respect for others’ viewpoints and are skilled at navigating professional disagreement, bringing others along with you. You are comfortable leading larger groups and confident communicating both in writing and verbally, whether to a large audience or in a reply to a single citizen.

You will also take part in and facilitate coordination and collaboration meetings across the municipality and internally at Novafos. Internally, you will experience a strong professional community across the department, with the opportunity to collaborate with other planners, junior planners, and the nearest team leader in the area. Externally, through your role and expertise, you ensure that tasks are handled no matter where they are in the process.

Your profile is characterised by solid experience as a planner and motivation to work as the person responsible for a specific municipality, building a professional and engaging relationship where your knowledge and expertise benefit the municipality in the plans and projects to be handled.

You are curious about, and may already have experience with, the planning hierarchy that characterises a municipality. You enjoy and thrive in a project manager role, helping translate and drive the wastewater plan’s objectives into concrete projects through the idea, analysis and authority phases, thereby ensuring sustainable rain and wastewater management.

You describe yourself as positive and engaged. You work in a structured and focused way. You are flexible and adaptable. You have a good overview and keep track of the right details in the planning work. You thrive on cross-disciplinary collaboration and are motivated by interacting both with colleagues from Planning & Projects, the rest of the organisation including operations, and external parties such as authorities, citizens, consultants and contractors. Here you are particularly attentive to, and skilled at, adapting your communication into easily understandable language, both internally and to external parties such as authorities.
