In the role of Network Administrator, you will be a key person for the operation, development, and maintenance of the infrastructure and network. You will take part in one of Denmark’s largest SDA and DNA implementations. You will also help develop the infrastructure to meet the needs and requirements of the future. You will have the opportunity to apply and contribute your knowledge of network operations. In this position, you will work with the latest technologies, and at KU-IT they are currently transitioning from HP networks to Cisco networks. You will therefore take part in these transformation projects. There is also the opportunity to work across different areas within networking. Two home-working days per week are available if desired.
As Network Administrator, your areas of responsibility will be to:
- Operation and maintenance tasks for our wired network
- Operation and maintenance tasks for the wireless network
- Participate in exciting projects within the networking area
- Provide daily 2nd and 3rd level support
- Ensure that the infrastructure can be operated, maintained, and continuously developed
- Put your own stamp on the University of Copenhagen’s IT environment
Requirements
The candidate must, as a minimum, have:
- At least 2 years of experience operating both wired and wireless networks in enterprise environments
- Experience from large operating environments
- Knowledge of Cisco switches/routers and Cisco technology such as SDA and DNA
- Knowledge of routing protocols, e.g. BGP and OSPF
- Experience documenting and preparing requirements specifications for enterprise-class IT solutions
- Daily 2nd and 3rd level support
- The ITIL processes
It is an advantage, but not a requirement, if the candidate has experience with the following:
- Experience from the education sector
- Knowledge of HP networks
- Experience with FMC and NGFW
