IT Security Specialist – Compliance
Strong profiles for cybersecurity and compliance
Are you passionate about IT security and digital transformation? Do you want to be part of a new major security effort aimed at strengthening cyber and information security at the Danish Courts? Do you have expertise in technical IT security and/or compliance? Then you might be the next colleague at the Danish Courts’ Administration Center for IT.
The Danish Courts’ Administration is in the midst of digitalising case processing at the courts, dedicated to IT professionalisation and full digital support of case handling. This effort, combined with the current threat landscape, has increased the need to ensure confidentiality and accessibility of case data.
The Danish Courts’ Administration has therefore launched a major initiative to implement new and enhanced security requirements and to counter threats and the risk of attacks against the courts’ IT systems, and needs new colleagues with expertise in either technical IT security and/or security architecture and compliance.
The Danish Courts’ Administration offers
- The opportunity to influence the development of security in a very important societal area
- The chance to be part of one of Denmark’s largest public digitalisation programmes, modernising two of the courts’ major case areas
- An environment with high professionalism and opportunities for both personal and professional development
- A transparent and trust-based management style and a good collegial atmosphere, with support and knowledge sharing across the board
You will be employed at the Danish Courts’ Administration Center for IT, which consists of approximately 120 employees spread across nine units. You will be part of the Infrastructure and Security unit, which aims to ensure stable and secure IT operations for the courts’ users. The unit has about 20 employees, using both Microsoft and Linux technologies for infrastructure and applications, both on-premises and in Azure.
Security architecture and compliance
The Danish Courts’ Administration is looking for IT security specialists in the area of compliance. You will be responsible for ensuring that the organisation follows the correct procedures in its projects, integrating security from the start. You will work closely with architects, lawyers, and development teams to ensure compliance with laws and standards in information security and data protection for applications, development environments, and infrastructure.
Tasks include
- Translating internal and external requirements and standards into operational actions and contributing to their implementation, e.g. from GDPR and the 29 technical minimum requirements
- Conducting ongoing risk assessments of IT systems developed by the organisation, as well as supporting systems and components
- Evaluating solutions against the OWASP Software Assurance Maturity Model, developing action plans to increase maturity, and being responsible for their implementation
- Developing relevant security policies and standards
Who are you?
The Danish Courts’ Administration is looking for both recent graduates and experienced professionals, as the position can be tailored to your experiences and qualifications.
For a position within compliance, experience with GRC and IT security consulting is emphasised, along with a relevant education and a good IT technical understanding. Experience with technical IT security and an IT security certification, e.g. CISSP, CISM, or CISA, would be advantageous, as would familiarity with security assessment and standards in large public development programmes.
As a person, it is seen favourably if you:
- Have strong analytical skills and can work in a structured manner
- Can plan and execute your work independently and meet deadlines
- Are motivated to learn new things
It is also important that you can communicate clearly and concisely on security-related topics, including to other professional groups.
Salary and employment conditions
It is a prerequisite for employment that you can be security cleared to “Secret” and maintain your security clearance throughout your employment.
The Danish Courts’ Administration is located at both Gammel Mønt in Copenhagen K and Amagerfælledvej in Copenhagen S. In the compliance position, the workplace will be both at Gammel Mønt and Amagerfælledvej.
