As an experienced and seasoned IT Project Manager, you will take on a key role in the project, becoming part of a dynamic and ambitious cross-functional team. You will be responsible for the project’s progress and governance, supported by a Product Manager and systems architect. You will also be responsible for coordination and will continuously help ensure that the development teams, architects, and DevOps team deliver according to deadlines. As IT Project Manager, you will have significant responsibility and varied tasks, and you must ensure that the different teams work in a structured way on the functional and technical scope. The project takes place at a high professional, technical, and managerial level, and in this connection you will, among other things, handle communication and facilitate collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders at team, project, and top management level. There is also good scope to elevate the approach and methods used in project management. Furthermore, you will have influence over your own tasks. Your responsibilities will also include the following:

  • Project management with a focus on decisions regarding balancing and allocating scope, detailed planning, financial and risk management, and involving stakeholders and management in decision-making processes
  • Day-to-day coordination of the project’s development teams, including their coordination with each other and with operations
  • Steering committee and management reporting across agencies
  • Effective execution in collaboration with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including consulting firms
  • Establishing and evaluating solution alternatives in close collaboration with, for example, business analysts, architects, test managers, scrum masters, and office managers
  • Estimation and planning tasks, including clarifying the consequences in terms of time and cost when new requirements for the IT solution arise, for example from the EU.

Requirements
It is an advantage if the candidate has a relevant educational background in economics or IT, for example from DTU, ITU, KU, or equivalent relevant professional experience.

You are expected to have a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a similar position within a larger unit in the public or private sector, and to have documented experience in project management. In addition, the candidate must have at least:

  • Solid experience with project management of IT projects and with internal in-house development of IT solutions
  • Skilled at stakeholder management, both internally and externally
  • Experience with agile project management.
  • Knowledge and experience with classic waterfall methods
  • Experience delivering tight project management through motivating leadership
  • Have a technical understanding
  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Good at handling multiple tasks simultaneously
  • It is an advantage if you can navigate a large, politically driven organization
