IT Project Manager within Sustainable Finance
In the role of IT Project Manager, you will apply your experience in IT project management with a focus on digitalizing the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority (Finanstilsynet). You will thereby work closely with the financial sector and tackle current issues that contribute to fulfilling important, socially beneficial purposes.
Finanstilsynet is currently launching a two-year, strategically prioritized project with great potential for the authority’s future supervisory work. The project has been allocated DKK 9 million and will make it possible to conduct effective supervision of legislation within sustainable finance.
Supervising disclosure requirements for sustainable financial products (the EU Disclosure Regulation) and sustainable investments (the Taxonomy Regulation) involves a significantly increased volume of raw data, spread across a large number of companies. For this area of supervision to function effectively and sustainably in the long term, there is a need to centralize and structure this data in a database that can form the basis for supervisory efforts.
This forms the basis for the project, which brings together colleagues from, among others, the authority’s new sustainability unit and external development consultants. The project manager role therefore has a strong focus on sustainability and on the agile implementation and embedding of the project’s solutions — from idea, needs, and requirements through to adoption and operation.
The solutions must, among other things, enable and support the following processes:
- Market monitoring to identify financial products marketed as sustainable.
- Selection and collection of financial products for closer examination.
- Storage and analysis of the collected data.
