Would you like to shape the future of energy optimisation for Frederiksberg Municipality’s properties? Are you excited about the journey from energy data to projects and execution, and do you want to influence the municipality’s energy and CO2 agenda? The team is expanding and seeking a skilled and dedicated Energy Advisor with expertise in energy optimisation of properties to join Property Service and Operations at Frederiksberg Municipality.
The position of Energy Advisor
In collaboration with the energy advisor and a team of operations consultants, you will help to highlight and realise the potential for energy optimisations in municipal buildings. It’s high on the municipal agenda, and there is good cross-functional cooperation on the overall effort to reduce both energy consumption and CO2. Frederiksberg Municipality needs you to find out where the most energy efficiency can be achieved for the money, while respecting older buildings.
As an energy advisor, your tasks will include
- Identifying and shaping energy efficiency projects on municipal properties based on actual energy consumption, data, energy labels, and building condition
- Contributing to the development of a method for better energy optimisation of properties – from a technical, architectural, and user perspective
- Highlighting the potential for municipal properties by collecting and analysing data in the energy management system DEXMA
- Calculating and documenting energy savings on properties
- Contributing to colleagues’ projects by providing support and advice regarding energy optimisation
You will also participate in the GAP project, focusing on improved and more strategic energy management. The project aims to develop a systematic method to highlight the performance gap between the actual and theoretical/expected energy improvement potential across the municipal property portfolio.
The background for the GAP project is the desire to advance Frederiksberg Municipality’s ambitious energy and CO2 agenda, where the municipality has a goal to be CO2-neutral by 2030. Energy management, energy renovation, and CO2-neutral energy supply play a significant role here. The project will contribute by ensuring concrete projects and recommendations, as well as an overview of possible and probable energy optimisation potentials.
An educational background in energy and buildings is expected, along with extensive experience analysing and calculating energy data and energy optimisation projects. Experience may come from a public organisation, a housing association, or as a consultant, but most importantly, documented positive results are important. Furthermore, it is expected that you:
- Thrive in creating progress and ensuring the goals set for energy optimisation of buildings are met
- Understand the technical, architectural, and installation technical professions
- Have experience identifying energy renovations and optimisations and developing business cases based on energy budgets
- Understand user processes and user needs
- Are positive, approachable, and want to be part of a team
Frederiksberg Municipality offers a developmental job in a good social and professional environment. The tone is informal, characterised by humour and helpfulness, focusing on task sharing and collective learning. You will have significant influence on the design of your workday with flextime and the possibility for home office.
The Operations Team in Property Service and Operations has 14 employees with various competencies and backgrounds who together coordinate and execute energy renovations and maintenance projects. Organisationally, this belongs to the Department of Building, Construction, and Properties, part of the Urban Development, Culture, and Environment area in Frederiksberg Municipality, which handles daily planned and acute maintenance tasks on a portfolio of approximately 250 properties covering about 490,000 m², including schools, daycare centres, libraries, swimming pools, residential buildings, and care centres.
