As an Electrical Engineer, you will take on a truly unique role at Energinet, where you will help create solutions that support Energinet’s ambition to run world-class electricity supply. This also means that, through your role, you will help ensure the green transition of the electricity grid through data and digitalisation for operational decision support and automation in the electricity system.
You will work at the intersection of business and IT, driving the digitalisation of the Control Centre, which safeguards the electricity supply across Denmark. Your primary task will be to help ensure the interplay of the electrical-system-technical side, where you are the specialist able to translate technical data into usable input for the IT architects, enabling them to build the digital solutions needed for the Control Centre.
Your strength is that you are the electrical specialist with solid knowledge of and/or interest in electricity supply and technical control of installations. You are also driven by the desire to acquire the necessary knowledge about the electricity grid as a whole, as this will be essential to creating the desired solutions. You will also help ensure that documentation regarding requirements and processes is continuously adapted and adjusted.
Your tasks
You will work on both smaller and larger projects. A major project you will also be involved in is project “Hamlet”, which aims to build a new platform with new applications for the Control Centre. Your task will particularly be to ensure that data from the electrical system is correctly understood, so that the solution models developed also live up to the established processes and requirements, as well as the regulatory responsibility placed on controlling the electricity system in Denmark.
As an Electrical Engineer, you will collaborate across departments, which naturally helps you build a large professional network within the organisation. Over time, your professional network will also come to include external and international partners.
As a person, you show commitment and independence. You have a natural can-do attitude and are not afraid to ask questions if there is something you don’t know. You are eager to learn, curious, and approach tasks with strong analytical skills. You are also able to communicate technical electrical matters to others outside your own field. You are good at collaborating and involving others in solving tasks.
