Are you a passionate Data Scientist with experience in Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse solutions? Stryhns Group is seeking a committed and experienced Data Scientist to lead the transformation of its sales forecasting processes. In this key role, you will play a central part in transitioning from experience-based forecasts to advanced AI prediction models.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Demand Planner, and Supply Chain Manager, to understand the company’s needs and enhance the demand planning process
• Analyse historical data to identify patterns and trends for predicting future demand
• Develop and implement an AI prediction model in Microsoft Power BI and through programming
• Continuously evaluate and improve the model’s accuracy
• Document and communicate the model’s results to management
• Integrate the AI prediction model into existing planning systems such as CRM & SAP
• Ensure a smooth transition from manual to model-based planning
• Monitor the model’s performance over time and implement ongoing improvements
• Actively participate in the Demand Planning process to understand all input factors

Key performance indicators (KPIs)

• Development, training, and ongoing validation of a prediction model in Microsoft Power BI
• Integration of forecasts with existing systems
• Improvement of forecast validity compared to current processes
• Communication and presentation of reasons and effects to build trust and understanding for the forecasts

Your profile

• A B.Sc/M.Sc with practical relevant business experience
• Certificates and courses in machine learning, data science, or programming
• Practical experience in developing predictive models in Microsoft Power BI or similar tools
• A strong understanding of statistical methods and machine learning algorithms
• Programming skills, including experience with Python or R
