It is home to five of the country’s most trusted media outlets: Berlingske, B.T., Weekendavisen, Euroinvestor, and 24syv. Berlingske Media operates on the “you build it, you run it” model, where each application team is responsible for the operation of its own applications. This requires a robust cloud platform that makes it easy to deploy, scale, and monitor containerised applications.

Cloud Engineer

Berlingske Media is seeking a committed Cloud Engineer who will play a central role in its Cloud Ops team. You will be responsible for the overall AWS-based cloud infrastructure. This is a unique opportunity to help create the foundation that enables Berlingske Media sites to deliver maximum value to their users. You will be part of an ambitious project transforming sites using the latest technologies such as Node and React.

Your responsibilities as a Cloud Engineer include

• Building AWS cloud platform: helping build an AWS cloud platform that ensures simple deployment and scalable applications and websites
• Standardising deployment patterns: developing standard modules to minimise friction in deploying and monitoring applications
• Onboarding application teams: assisting and onboarding application teams onto the cloud platform to ensure stable and scalable infrastructure
• Continuous improvements: working on continuous improvements of the cloud infrastructure to make the most of AWS
• Building DevOps guardrails: helping standardise deployment patterns and database usage, and developing tools and modules to help developers follow these standards
• Monitoring and observability: contributing to standardising monitoring and observability to quickly identify and resolve operational issues
