Automation Engineer
Join NIRAS dynamic team of engineers dedicated to providing consultancy and project solutions primarily to the brewing industry. As an Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, testing, and implementing control systems for fully automated processing plants. Your expertise will be instrumental in seamlessly integrating process control plants with MES and ERP system. Additionally, you will provide invaluable advice to clients and nurture collaborative relationships with suppliers, marking a significant impact on their projects and partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Develop standard automation concepts, emphasizing the integration of process control plants with MES and ERP systems.
- Plan and design automation systems, including budgeting, tender document preparation, and evaluation.
- Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) at supplier locations.
- Provide supervision during installation and erection processes.
- Assist in the testing and commissioning of new process plants.
- Collaborate with specialists from different competence areas to challenge professional interfaces and expand your professional network.
Requirements:
- Degree in electronics engineering specialized in electronics/automation or a similar technical level.
- Relevant experience in automation assignments, preferably within the brewing, beverages, or food industries.
- Proficient in Mechanical Instrumentation, Electrical Power Supply, S88, and code review.
- Experience with process plants and familiarity with SRO/SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems, including their construction and involvement in projects within this field.
- Knowledge of ISA95 for MES integration, as well as understanding of various interfaces within the standard.
- Knowledge of MES methodologies, but specific MES system familiarity is not crucial.
- Knowledge of Batch control
